PHOTO GUIDE · PLANNING AROUND A DATE

Plan backward from the service date.

Delivery is usually within 48 hours after payment and receipt of a usable photo. That is an estimate, not a guarantee. When a service has a fixed date, leave room for finding the photo, a possible retry, and testing the film on the equipment that will play it.

These are planning suggestions, not delivery commitments.

If the service is very soon

We cannot promise faster than our usual estimate. If the date is close, email us before paying to ask whether the timing is realistic. We would rather tell you honestly than take payment for a film that may arrive too late. The still photograph is always an appropriate choice on its own.

Why leave room for a retry

A person reviews each film before delivery. If the first result is unsuitable, the included retry is used, and that takes extra time. If we still cannot produce an acceptable portrait, we refund that film’s purchase value. On a deadline, that would mean using the still photograph, so plan as if that might happen.

Have these ready before you order

  • The photo file: JPG, PNG, or WebP, under 10 MB, at least 512 pixels on each side. If it is a HEIC file from an iPhone, make a JPG copy first.
  • Agreement from close family.
  • The name of the person in the photograph, or a title such as “Mum and Dad”, and an email address for order messages.
  • A safe place to save the private order link.
  • The name of the person who will play the film at the service.

Showing it at the service

The film is silent and five or ten seconds long, so it usually fits best inside a slideshow or beside a printed photograph rather than on its own. Adding the clip to a slideshow covers the editing steps. A short caption explaining that the movement was created with AI is a kindness to anyone who has not seen one before.
